[Reported by Axaes Xandal on the OSGrid forum] I did hollow spheres and cylinders to 99% today in the current Hippo, but discovered that when I log in with a different viewer (standard SL and COOL viewer, both for Linux), the 99% was displayed as 95% again. I reloged with Hippo, and it was 99% again. Nebadon first thought it had something to do with a database error, but later confirmed that some shapes are displayed at different hollow rates in different viewers. See the difference here with cylindrical curtains: http://osgrid.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1231 http://osgrid.org/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1228 If the 99% hollow for spheres and cylinders is not possible, I think it would be necessary to disable the 99% hollow feature for these prims, or disable the feature entirely if that's not possible. It would not be beneficial if builds look fundamentally different for people using different viewers.

So I decided to revert the max. hollow back to 95. Wow, a hard decision, especially the hollow cost me some sweat, till it worked properly. :-(
Submitted By: Taoki Vixen Adddate: 2008-08-29 19:50:27 I need to leave an apology for this bug as I was the one who suggested the 99% hollow thingie. The reason I wanted it was because the maximum of 95% hollow was getting too small for larger prims, and I wanted megaprims to be able to have a bigger interior. Didn't think it could crash the viewer or render corrupted primitives... I'm glad it's been fixed anyway.
